Yolanda victims in Calapan grateful to DOLE's Livelihood Assistance

Who could forget the typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), one of the deadliest natural disasters that killed thousands, and brought devastations to the properties including the source of livehood of the many poor Filipinos. The members of the Samahang Nagtataguyod ng Kabuhayan or SANAKA is just one of those who were affected by typhoon Yolanda in Calapan.

In 2011, SANAKA started its banana chips using saba, a variety of banana, with an initial capital amounting to Php2,050.00 contributed by its 15 members. At that time, the members used only their personal equipment and utensils in the preperation banana chips.
