Yolanda-victims, Grateful of Emergency Employment Program

The strongest typhoon Yolanda that brought severe destruction in several areas of Central Visayas has gained unprecedented attention from all over the world, gaining support from both public and private organizations here and abroad. While there were many efforts to provide services for the typhoon-victims, much still is to be done.

"Parang nabuhayan sila ng loob, lalo na ‘nung narinig nila na sa gobyerno galing ang tulong," shared Renz Nucup of the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC), referring to the beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Emergency Employment Program (EEP) who have received their salaries from the 15 to 30 day work rendered in the clearing of the areas.
