Six (6) selected agrarian reform communities (ARCs) will be assisted for the period of two years (CY2015- 2016) under the DOLE-DAR special project, Self Reliant Organization for Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (SRO-CARP). These are: Region 4-A - Pacheco Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association, Brgy. Pacheco, Magallanes, Cavite; Region VI - Victor U. Lopez Agrarian Reform Association, Brgy. Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental and Estela Agrarian Reform Cooperative, Brgy. San Miguel, Negros Occidental; Region VII- Albiga Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association, Brgy. Albiga, Siaton, Negros Oriental; Region X- Sibulan Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Lopez-Jaena, Misamis Occidental, and Impalotao Dalwangan Sawaga Agrarian Reform Cooperative, Malaybalay, Bukidnon. 

The SRO-CARP aims to develop sustainable and independent agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) through building competencies in cooperative management, farm productivity and enterprise development, enabling them to contribute to poverty alleviation and rural community development.
Around 45 participants consisting of community facilitators, concerned DOLE and DAR regional/provincial heads and staff, PARC Secretariat, DAR-SSO and BARBD will partake in a 3- day Planning Workshop for SRO-CARP on December 16-18, 2015 at the Manhattan Suites Inn, Dumaguete City. This activity serves as venue to present and discuss the profiles of the identified communities and cooperatives, results of the OD/TNA, coop development plans for CY2016 and the proposed development intervention plans for the ARBs; and finalize the catch up plan for each project site including the CY2016 work and financial plan, for submission to PARC Secretariat.

Under the program, the beneficiaries will be provided with capability building trainings on organizational development, farm operation and entrepreneurship development, and partnership building, among others.
