BWSC organizes webinar on Safe Spaces Act for Women Workers
On December 1, 2021, the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) spearheaded a webinar, through Cisco Webex, on the Safe Spaces Act for women workers in the informal economy, as an observance of the 18-day campaign to end Violence Against Women.

DOLE strengthens protection of workers thru ILO C190 ratification
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), as a strong promoter for the protection of rights of workers, will conduct a technical learning session on November 22, 2021, via an online platform, for the ratification of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 190 (C190) or the Violence and Harassment Convention of 2019.

WSADD conducts TLS on offline SWMDBP system
Last November 11 to 12, 2021, the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC), through the Workers Social Amelioration and Development Division (WSADD), conducted a technical learning session (TLS) for the Luzon cluster on the use of the offline Sugar Workers’ Maternity and Death Benefit Programs (SWMDBP) system.
DOLE Legal Service provides orientation on procurement for BWSC staff
The Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) through the Program Monitoring and Technical Support Services Division (PMTSSD), organized a technical learning session (TLS) on Republic Act No. 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act last November 5, 2021, as part of the continuous effort of the Bureau to ensure that all employees are well-equipped and capacitated with the right knowledge and skills in implementing the DOLE programs and services.
