BWSC spearheads children’s month celebration
The prevention and elimination of child labor is beneficial in advocating the rights of a child. Since the implementation of Republic Act No. 10661 or the Act Declaring November of Every Year as National Children’s Month, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC), as the chair of the National Child Labor Committee (NCLC), has spearheaded different activities to commemorate this occasion.
BWSC introduces new developments on WCPIS
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued around 67,000 working child permit (WCP) as of June 2019. As the number rises, the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) has realized the need for a real-time updating of data on WCP issuance. Thus, the Bureau developed the Working Child Permit Issuance System (WCPIS).

BWSC spearheads media training for NCLC communication officers
The Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) as the vice-chair of the Knowledge Management Sub-Committee of the National Child Labor Committee (NCLC), conducted a media training on child labor last October 1-4, 2019 at the Sequioa Hotel in Quezon City.
