As the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) strengthens its policies on the sustainable livelihood for vulnerable and marginalized workers, the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) saw the need to equip its staff, and other regional offices, bureaus, and services, with skills and knowledge that intensifies the information drive for BWSC programs and services.

As people mostly watch more visuals not only on television, but on laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and widely are interested in appealing visuals through videos, the Bureau will be conducting a training on video editing and motion graphics on September 20 to 24, 2022.

The training aims to provide the participants with knowledge on the various tools and techniques on video editing, demonstrate methods for creating exciting visual effects and motion graphics for video, and create good quality videos using the tools and techniques learned during the training.

Moreover, a training on event management will also be spearheaded by the BWSC that will give the participants a familiarity on how to identify different roles of an Event Management Team, create a strategic plan for the upcoming events of the Bureau, skills, and knowledge on pre-event management, on-the-day management, and post-event management.

Anchored with the administration’s thrust to provide efficient services, especially to far-flung areas, these workshops will enhance the information, education, and communication (IEC) materials of policies and programs, and the event handling strategies of the Bureau, as well as the regional offices.
